Rockets, Building and Snow

Winter is definitely here giving us very low temperatures and the snow! We have not been able to go out because of the low temperatures as of late, but we did have some fun in the previous snow.

We spent a week discussing space and the planets. This is always a favorite theme with children. We made some creative rockets that took a flight path through our room!

Building is huge part of our mornings. This class is very creative. They are always coming up with new ways to build!

We made some adorable snowmen for snack one day.

We filled the sand table with snow, shovels, cups, molds and of course mittens! We charted our predictions about how many hours it would take for that snow to melt? Ask your child if the snow was still there at dismissal time?

We also charted what clothes we should wear outside in the snow? A few giggles were heard for some of these!

The Art Show was a success! The children love showing off their work.

We have Valentine’s Day ahead. A list will be going home this coming week with names on it for your child. This is an optional activity for them.

Let us hope that the outside temperatures go up so that we can have some fun in this snow!

As always, thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us!
