The Fun Continues…
Drawing is still a favorite activity in our classroom. The children have really shown so much growth in this area. They often ask for us to label their creations. This last picture is actually a left over piece of your child’s wrapping paper from the holidays. We decided to make a winter scene with these pieces.
The children played with animals that were both in the snow and on dry land. They pretended to be veterinarians and carefully took care of many animals. They were able to make house calls with their traveling unit. Many books were read together daily on the green couch.
We continuously work with numbers during our day. We might ask the children how many children are here today or how many children are missing? We may also make up a number sentence for them with the information that we have.
In these pictures, we sorted and counted dinosaurs to match the number that is placed in each section of the tray.
We spent last week learning about the different types of dinosaurs. We have a few experts in the classroom! Some of those pronunciations are not easy!
The children made some very creative dinosaurs out of pasta. They first painted their backgrounds and then added their dinosaurs to it. We had the children plan out the construction of their dinosaurs before gluing their pieces onto the paper. This was a great skill for them to practice.
Last week, we enjoyed every minute that we could outside on our playground. One day we were able to take our jackets off. What a treat that was! In the last picture, the children were making strawberry soup with the melting snow water. Many recipes were given out…
Spring is almost here!! Thank you for all that you do for us such as bringing in those snow clothes washed and dried each morning. We know that is not easy.
Take care…
