Happy Thanksgiving

November seems to have just zipped by. All of us in the Orange class had an amazing time going for the story walk. The story was “ We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen. We had quite an adventure going through swishy grass, river, mud, forest, snowstorm and finally a cave where we met THE BEAR! The children were so delighted we went for the story walk multiple times.

We made a lot of turkeys during art….like the handprint turkeys with lots of feathers, paper plate turkeys, painted turkeys etc. The children are also learning how to use scissors safely. We have been fringing feathers for our big turkey. It is wonderful to see how proud they are of their creativity. We have been talking in class about what it means to be thankful and kind.

As the year progresses, we get to learn more about each child’s personality, interests and talents. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving with fun, food, family and friends.
