The Fun Keeps on Coming…
We have been continuing to have fun together in Room 13. Some wonderful people did come and visit us.
Erika McPhee (Evie’s mom) came in to teach us about the bones in our bodies. She showed us some great x-rays and talked to us about what it means to break a bone? The children were able to decide where their furry friend was injured and Erika showed them how to put a real cast on their animal. How special was that? Thank you, Erika!
Awhile ago, Katie McCafferty (Colleen’s mom) came into our school to discuss how to keep our teeth healthy. She had us brush some very big teeth with a very big toothbrush! She also talked to us about what foods were healthy for our teeth and what foods were not healthy. Thank you, Katie!
Sarah Martin (Hudson’s mom) came in to read us a story. She read Turtle Island by Kevin Sherry. it is a very popular book with the children! Thank you, Sarah!
Noriko Wada invited us to music class a couple of weeks ago. Many of you were there and participated with your child. It was so apparent that your children loved having you there!
We had popsicles outside with Mrs. Arsenault’s class one day…
We painted our own race cars and tested them using long cardboard tubes. We even had a green flag.
We have spent the last couple of weeks painting some very large flowers and insects. You might want to get some potent bug spray for these insects!
Lastly, we celebrated the two summer birthdays of Colleen and Grace.
We love being with your children. Thank you for sharing them with us!
